(Example: If you pay your bill at 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday night, your payment will not post until Thursday a.m.)
This payment service is provided for the City of Claremont customers by a third-party vendor. A convenience fee assessed by the credit and debit card companies will be added to the total amount of the payment for this service. You will see this fee on your payment screen and you will be given an opportunity to accept or decline the payment after the total amount is calculated with the service fee. There is a $1.99 minimum service fee applied to all transactions. All payments are FINAL.
Please refer to your bill for the account # and the amount due. If the full amount due is not paid and the account has an outstanding balance, you will be subject to any late fees and/or penalties that may incur.
Payments made after 8 P.M. on the 27th of every month will NOT be posted to your account until 2 business days later. So, if you pay AFTER 8 P.M. on the 27th of the month your payment will be considered late, and you will need to add the $20 late fee. If the late fee is not paid, it will be considered as an outstanding balance due and may incur additional fees or penalties. No exceptions!
If your utility service has been disconnected or is scheduled to be disconnected today, please contact City Hall for the latest balance information.
Please do not use the online system to make payments on your cutoff date or if your service has been disconnected. Payments will post at 8 P.M. on the current business day; therefore, service will not be restored for 2 business days. Online payments received on cut-off day will not cancel service disconnection or eliminate late fees being charged to your account. If your water service has been disconnected for non-payment, please contact the City of Claremont at 828-466-7255 no later than 4:00 p.m. to ensure same day reconnect.
