| The City of Claremont contracts for planning services with the Western Piedmont Council of Governments (WPCOG) in Hickory, NC. Laurie LoCicero is the City Planner and holds office hours in the City Hall, Monday afternoons, 1-5pm. She may also be reached at her office at the WPCOG at 828-322-9191 ext 240. The City Planner administers development-based plans and ordinances including the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances. She also handles rezonings, text amendments, variances, appeals, conditional use permits and other issues related to the Planning Board and Board of Adjustment. |
