The City Park is located on East Main Street, next to the Claremont Elementary School. The park has 14 acres, with 7 additional undeveloped acres. The park includes tennis courts, horseshoe pits, 3 sheltered picnic areas, a pavilion-for larger groups, an amphitheater with stage, a paved quarter mile-walking trail and updated handicapped accessible playground equipment. Claremont Park is a public park and you may utilize the ammenities free of charge, however you may reserve a picnic shelter by calling City Hall (828) 459-7009. If you would like a key for the restrooms there is a $25.00 deposit that will be refunded to you when you bring back the key. You are responsible for cleaning the area that you use.
